Refurbishment

The structural design associated with the refurbishment of buildings is always challenging.  Very frequently structural design details of the existing structure have been lost and or are unavailable.  Consequently the engineer must establish the philosophy behind the design and verify it before proceeding to design and document any required modifications.  Assumptions are frequently re-visited during construction and require a rapid response in order that costs are contained.

Refurbishment projects have included:

  • Commonwealth Bank upgrade rollout
  • National Australia Bank upgrade rollout
  •  ANZ Bank upgrade rollout

GW Engineers have successfully completed the engineering design for the following refurbishment projects:

  • Chamberlain Hotel
  • Great Southern Hotel
  • The King’s School
  • Chalmers Street (under construction)
