GW Engineers has undertaken the mechanical and structural engineering for the upgrade of the shiploading facility at Bontang, Indonesia.

The upgrade of 3000 tph to 3700 tph (peaking at 4070 tph) required the belt speed to be increased from 6.1 m/s to 7.2 m/s.

Structural engineering design and audit of new and existing conveyor steelwork.

Modification of existing and new transfer chutes including a complete new adjustable fixed tripper chute installation.

This project has now been successfully commissioned.
