Stormwater Infrastructure

GW Engineers has developed practical design solutions to many issues related to stormwater drainage systems for local and state government bodies including:

  • Site drainage design
  • Overland flow strategies
  • Hydrological and hydraulic studies
  • Soil erosion and sedimentation control plans
  • On site detention
  • Water quality control

Woollahra City Council
GW Engineers conducted a hydraulic study in Brown Street to assess the condition and capacity of the existing stormwater drainage system then prepared the detailed design for a new system and coordinated the proposed alignments with all other underground utilities.

Parramatta City Council
We prepared the design and documentation for the upgrade of the stormwater drainage system for the widening and upgrade of Darcy Road at Westmead.

Mudgee Shire Council
We prepared the design documentation for new trunk drainage for the Mudgee town centre upgrade to relieve significant flooding problems elsewhere in the town.

Manly City Council
We prepared general arrangements plans and sections for three gross pollutant traps within separate catchments and developed the detail design of runoff control facilities for Seaforth Oval which drains directly to National Park land.

Concord Council (Canada Bay)
GW Engineers designed the stormwater collection and disposal systems as part of a large project to develop the streetscape environment.

Baulkham Hills Shire Council
We developed options for the upgrade of the last 550-metre section of the Highs Road which links with Castle Hill Road including stormwater Drainage improvements.

New South Wales State Government
GW Engineers has undertaken many stormwater infrastructure projects including Wilson Park Site Remediation, Homebush Bay, Rouse Hill Regional Park, Western Sydney Regional, Park, Haslmas Creek zone, Chullora Waste Management Centre and Toongabbie Creek Upgrade.
