Chullora Waste Transfer Station

Because the transfer station is located in a new industrial precinct, where the aesthetics of the facility are of particular concern to adjacent businesses, the GWE design team developed the design that we see today, meeting the high quality of other buildings in the area and setting a new benchmark for waste management facilities at that time.

As a further response to environmental sensitivities, the design incorporates a number of initiatives to ensure that all the discharges from the transfer station and green waste storage areas are captured and appropriately treated to safeguard the environment.

Following design and documentation, GWE was commissioned to undertake the role of Superintendent for the construction of the transfer station.
