Ulan Coal Mine
The temporary upgrade of the coal clearance system from the existing underground stockpile to the product coal stockpile area from 750 tph to 1100 tph. Due to the requirement for a limited life innovative thinking to minimise the cost of this project was required and a successful economic and project outcome was achieved.
Proposal and implementation for the relocation of the existing in-pit crusher and 1.9 km conveyor system together with sourcing suitable decommissioned ROM dump hopper was completed in 6 months.
The existing rail load out system, including modification to the bucket wheel reclaimer was upgraded from a design capacity of 2500 tpa to 3500 tpa. This system has now been operating successfully since July 2006.
